Why We Do This
To Support Rural Communities
At Pomelo we value slowing down, understanding culture, being close to nature, and helping others. A driving force for our work is the ability to support the people who run small businesses, non-profits, and other NGOs in the places we love.
Since 2014 we’ve been using a portion of Pomelo Travel’s proceeds to support locally run small businesses in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Indonesia. We also work to fund rural sociological research in Southeast Asia, and help non-profits working with homelessness along the North Shore of Oahu in the U.S.A.
To Help Customers Travel Unconventionally
We live by the notion that travel can – and should – be approached differently. It’s our intention to help our customers get out of their comfort zones, venture far away from the regular tourist trail, and experience life in new and beautiful ways. It takes extra effort in our consumer-driven, comfort-focused, Instagram-frenzied world to travel that way, and we want to help our Pomelo family get there.
We think travel can, at its best, be something that changes the way you think, live, and treat the people around you. We share the flight deals in hopes that our customers’ trips will become meaningful experiences that impact the rest of their lives.

Flight Expert
Join Our Flight Searching Team!
We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented person who is passionate about travel to join our team!
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 9AM–1PM MST
(20 hours per week)Location: Remote, Utah residents only.
This role is ideal for someone who has a passion for flight deals and travel and who understands airfare prices, booking flights, and geography.
Responsibilities
As a Flight Expert, you’ll be responsible for researching and identifying incredible flight deals to share with our subscribers. You’ll use flight searching tools, research destinations, and help ensure the deals we send are accurate, valuable, and clearly communicated.
You’ll work closely with our team to find great travel opportunities while helping more people experience the world for less!
What We’re Looking For
Experience using Google Flights and other online travel booking platforms (Skyscanner, Momondo, etc.).
Experience and an understanding of credit card and airline points and miles programs considered a plus.
Be an inspired and motivated individual who is willing to think outside the box.
Have a love of people & cultures and a desire to share that excitement with others.
Have a good internet connection and a good at-home workspace.
Having a passion for geography is preferred.
Attend all team and company-wide meetings held during MST hours.
The position is remote, with occasional in-person team gatherings held in Utah or Hawai’i.
