How To Help Hawaii

The Kona Low storm that hit Hawaii this last week has devastated the homes of many local families.

If you’ve ever enjoyed a trip to Hawaii, now is the time to give back.

Below are a list of nonprofits that you can donate to.

Kākoʻo Oʻahu is a donation campaign to aid communities and individuals impacted by the floods and weather events beginning in March 2026. Funding will support evolving needs, including providing housing stability services, financial assistance, and other services to support impacted communities.

The Lāhui Foundation is a registered 501c3 Non profit organization that is providing vital assistance to those that need it during the flooding. Click the button below to donate.

Hawaii Food Bank is providing food assistance in the wake of the storms. You can donate or sign up to volunteer with the organization online.

Many local individuals have put together their own gofundme and venmo pages for their loved ones and those impacted. All these have been compiled conveniently on a google form below. While these pages might be the best way to reach aid families directly, these are grassroots efforts and not related to a government verified 501c3. As such, donate at your own risk, as Pomelo has not independently verified each page.
