There are moments — a shared meal, a temple at sunrise, a host's laugh — that only really land on camera. As a Videographer, your role is to capture the Outpost experience in motion: the people, the landscapes, and the unscripted moments that define what it's actually like to travel with Pomelo. Your footage becomes a core part of how future travelers picture themselves on the trip.

Unscripted moments are captured on camera to show, not just tell, what a Pomelo trip feels like.

❋ Flexible Format

A choice between short-form and long-form video lets each Videographer shape their deliverables around the story the trip is telling.

❋ Behind-the-Scenes Footage

Additional b-roll captures texture and detail beyond the finished edits, giving the Impact Team raw material for future use.

❋ Grounded Feedback

Detailed homestay and Outpost surveys ensure the visual story is backed by honest, on-the-ground insight.

Your Responsibilities

While on your Travel Grant Trip, you’ll fulfill several vital responsibilities that will directly impact Pomelo’s mission to invite change and support rural communities.

You'll deliver a body of short- and/or long-form video content documenting the trip, alongside b-roll footage, detailed written feedback on the homestay and Outpost experience, and a set of post-ready photos.

  • Choose one path:

    • 12 short-form edited videos (~60 seconds each), with at least 6 submitted before the trip ends ❋

    OR

    • 1 long-form video (4–6 minutes) plus 6 short-form edited videos ❋

    Additional b-roll footage required in either case.

    • 20 post-ready images

    • Contribution to the trip's Google Photos album ❋ ℹ︎

    • 2 detailed homestay feedback surveys ℹ︎

    • 1 detailed Outpost customer experience survey ℹ︎

    • Cultural activity and restaurant feedback ℹ︎

    • Review process feedback ℹ︎
