Terra Ignota Magazine: Call for Entries
Submissions are open for our second magazine here at Pomelo Travel. In this issue, Terra Ignota: Meridiem, we will explore the joy of traveling as a complete sensory experience. We want to explore how travel teaches you to “embrace the chaos.” The subtitle “Meridiem” (latin for mid-day) encapsulates our goal. When we think of midday, we think of a day full of bright sunshine, full color, full expression… an assault on the senses. This issue will be a visual and written expression of that feeling.
Imagine your best travel memories, when you’re soaking up the sounds, colors, smells, cultures, foods, etc. We want to hear about it!

Photo Submission
Travel is, among other things, a startling visual experience. We’re looking for pictures that capture the color and excitement of travel, with its strange new vistas and colorful characters. Show us somewhere you’ve been that made you see with new eyes. Submit your travel photos here!
Visual Art Submission
We’re looking for art pieces that convey how travel made you feel in that moment of discovery abroad. Although photography can capture the reality of a moment in striking detail, it can sometimes miss the psychological vision that colors new experiences. Show us your unique vision through painting, sculpture or mixed media. Submit high quality scans or photos of the artwork here, along with an artist’s statement!
Poetry Submission
Poetry is a medium that is adept at capturing images and feelings, and so we’re looking for poetry inspired by travel that captures the concrete images and emotions that travel evokes. Whether inspired by a real life expedition, or a journey through the mind, we want to hear it! Send us your best work, no matter how wild it is. Submit your poetry here!
